Cooperative Producers, Inc. (CPI) is seeking a dedicated Grain and Agronomy Operator to join its expanding team in Funk, Nebraska. This role covers day-to-day grain and agronomy operations, including loading and unloading grain commodities, blending and loading dry or liquid fertilizer and chemicals, and, at select facilities, loading railcars and operating heavy equipment.

Position Overview
This Grain and Agronomy Operator role is based in Funk, Nebraska with Cooperative Producers, Inc. (CPI), a cooperative committed to supporting local farmers across Northern Kansas and Central Nebraska. You will work outside, independently or as part of a team, to accomplish day-to-day grain and agronomy operations — loading and unloading grain commodities, blending and loading dry or liquid fertilizer and chemicals, and, where certified, operating heavy equipment and loading railcars at certain facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Grain Handling Operations
- Load and unload grain commodities safely and efficiently
- Support day-to-day grain elevator and storage operations
- Load railcars at certain facilities as required
Agronomy & Fertilizer Operations
- Blend and load dry or liquid fertilizer for local farm customers
- Blend and load agricultural chemicals following safety protocols
- Support agronomy operations tied to CPI’s local farming partnerships
Equipment Operation & Safety
- Operate heavy equipment as needed, if certified
- Follow CPI’s safety-minded policies and procedures at all times
- Maintain equipment and work areas in safe, functional condition
Team & Independent Work
- Work outside independently or as part of a team to complete daily operations
- Support overtime operations during peak grain and agronomy seasons
- Maintain positive attitude and good attendance to support team goals
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- No experience necessary — full training provided
- Certification for heavy equipment operation a plus, not mandatory to start
