Position Overview

The HR Officer based in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi is responsible for the full spectrum of payroll processing and employee data management activities within the organisation. This includes calculating monthly salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, and end-of-service benefits in full compliance with UAE Labour Law and WPS requirements. You will manage HRMS and ERP systems, oversee leave and biometric attendance records, coordinate employee health insurance, issue onboarding documentation, and produce accurate payroll reports. Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Employee Management

  • Process monthly payroll attendance accurately and assist the HR Manager including full calculation of salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, and end-of-service benefits
  • Maintain and update employee records including Employee IDs, email accounts, personal data, and employment history in a timely and accurate manner
  • Generate and distribute accurate, clearly formatted payslips to all employees on schedule each month
  • Resolve payroll-related employee inquiries promptly, professionally, and with a high degree of confidentiality

ERP & HRMS System Management

  • Act as the dedicated ERP custodian for payroll and all employee data within the organisation’s HRMS platform
  • Update HRMS and ERP systems promptly with all new joiners, resignations, salary revisions, promotions, and other relevant personnel changes
  • Ensure accurate manual timesheet preparation for all active staff whenever required by management or operations
  • Maintain data integrity and system accuracy across SAP, Oracle, Tally, or equivalent HRMS/ERP platforms in use

Leave & Attendance Management

  • Manage all employee leave records, balance tracking, and leave approval workflows in line with UAE Labour Law entitlements
  • Monitor and maintain biometric attendance systems including registration of new joiners and swift resolution of machine errors or discrepancies
  • Prepare monthly attendance and leave reports for management review and payroll processing purposes
  • Ensure all leave policies are applied consistently and in full compliance with UAE Labour Law and company HR policy

Administrative & Onboarding Support

  • Issue and manage ID badges, email signatures, system access credentials, and all other onboarding documentation for new employees
  • Prepare accurate HR and payroll reports and maintain full payroll documentation in compliance with company policies and UAE Labour Law
  • Coordinate employee health insurance enrolment, renewals, amendments, and related administrative tasks
  • Perform other HR administrative duties as assigned by the Line Manager to support smooth departmental operations

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a directly related field

Experience Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of payroll or HR experience with UAE-based work experience strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of UAE Labour Law, Wages Protection System (WPS), and payroll procedures
  • Proven proficiency in HRMS and ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, Tally, or equivalent platforms

Essential Skills

  • Advanced MS Excel skills for payroll calculations, reporting, and data analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in payroll processing and employee data management
