Position Overview
As Ingenieur:in für industrielle Digitalisierung at LMC in the UAE, you analyse existing production processes, design digital solutions, and implement automation and digitalisation solutions directly at client production facilities. You develop and configure process data acquisition systems, prepare technical specifications, and lead the on-site commissioning of digital and automated systems. Daily responsibilities include close collaboration with Production and IT teams, conducting tests, fault analysis, and optimisations, technical documentation, and supporting the transfer of Industry 4.0 best practices between different client sites — while advising clients on suitable technologies for industrial digitalisation.

Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis & Digital Solution Design
- Analyse existing production processes at client manufacturing facilities — identifying digitalisation opportunities and defining optimisation potential
- Design digital solutions and automation concepts tailored to the specific operational, technical, and commercial requirements of each production environment
- Prepare detailed technical specifications for process data acquisition systems, control architectures, and digital integration solutions
- Advise clients on appropriate Industry 4.0 technologies — IoT, MES, SCADA, SPS/PLC, industrial networks — for their specific manufacturing context
System Implementation, Commissioning & On-Site Delivery
- Implement automation and digitalisation solutions directly on-site at client production facilities — Umm al-Quwain and other UAE and regional locations
- Develop and configure process data acquisition systems, industrial control systems (SPS/PLC), and SCADA/MES platforms
- Lead on-site commissioning of digital and automated systems — from initial setup through testing, fault analysis, optimisation, and final acceptance
- Conduct systematic testing, fault diagnosis, and performance optimisation of deployed systems to ensure reliable production operation
Collaboration, Documentation & Best Practice Transfer
- Collaborate closely with client Production and IT teams on a daily basis — integrating technical solutions within existing operational and IT landscapes
- Document all technical solutions, configurations, test results, and optimisation measures comprehensively and clearly
- Support the transfer of Industry 4.0 best practices between different client sites — sharing learnings and proven solution patterns across the LMC client portfolio
- Apply intercultural competence and strong communication skills to build effective working relationships with diverse client teams
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Completed technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering (with technical focus), or comparable qualification with practical project experience
- Sound knowledge of automation technology, control and regulation technology — SPS/PLC, industrial networks
- Experience in industrial digitalization — Industry 4.0, IoT solutions, MES/SCADA systems, data integration, and process data analysis
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills — systematic, solution-oriented working style with attention to technical accuracy
- Very good English language skills — written and spoken
- High willingness for on-site deployment at client production facilities — significant on-site presence required
- Good communication and teamwork skills with strong intercultural competence

- Experience with process plants in food & beverage, renewable energy, medical technology, or battery materials manufacturing environments
