Position Overview
The International Logistics Coordinator (m/w/d) at SUND Group in Hamburg is the central operational interface for all international logistics activities — with a primary focus on France and the United Kingdom. You will coordinate international transports and work closely with freight forwarders and logistics partners, manage overseas warehouses and align stock movements and delivery dates, act as the first point of contact for international customers and key accounts on all logistics matters, monitor shipments and resolve deviations and delivery problems, support customs, import, and export activities including container placements, review transport-related invoices and costs, and actively contribute to developing and improving SUND’s international logistics processes. Key Responsibilities
International Transport Coordination
- Coordinate all international transports and work closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners across Europe
- Monitor ongoing shipments in real time and find effective solutions for deviations, complaints, and delivery problems as they arise
- Coordinate container placements and manage transport scheduling to ensure timely and cost-efficient international delivery performance
- Review transport-related invoices and costs — verifying accuracy and flagging discrepancies for review and resolution
Overseas Warehouse & Stock Management
- Manage and coordinate SUND’s overseas warehouses — particularly in France and the United Kingdom — as the primary operations interface
- Coordinate goods movements, inventory levels, and delivery dates across international warehouse locations efficiently and accurately
- Monitor stock availability at overseas sites and coordinate replenishment activities with internal teams and logistics service providers
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of stock movements and warehouse activities for reporting and audit purposes
Customer & Key Account Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for international customers and key accounts on all logistics-related questions and concerns
- Communicate proactively with international partners — providing updates on shipment status, delivery timelines, and issue resolutions
- Build and maintain strong, reliable working relationships with French and UK customers, forwarders, and warehouse service providers
- Manage customer expectations professionally and ensure a consistently high level of service across all international logistics interactions
Customs, Import/Export & Process Development
- Support customs, import, and export activities — ensuring correct documentation and compliance with cross-border trade requirements
- Apply knowledge of or interest in France and UK customs processes to support efficient cross-border goods movement for SUND
- Actively contribute experience and initiative to develop and improve SUND’s international logistics processes together with the team
- Help build new international logistics structures as SUND grows — taking genuine ownership of new processes and initiatives from the start
Qualifications & Requirements
Background
- Completed training as Kaufmann/Kauffrau für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung (freight forwarding specialist) or a comparable qualification
- Proven professional experience in international transport or logistics coordination — freight forwarding, international supply chain, or similar
- Excellent German and English communication skills — written and spoken — for international customer and partner interaction
- French language skills are a valuable plus given SUND’s active expansion into the French market
Skills & Personal Attributes
- Experience with France, the UK, and customs/import/export is a clear advantage — but genuine willingness to learn is equally valued
