Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi will manage and oversee the full daily logistics cycle — coordinating supply chain operations, arranging and tracking local and international transportation, liaising with freight forwarders and suppliers, preparing and managing all shipping documentation, ensuring customs compliance, maintaining inventory records, and continuously identifying opportunities to optimise logistics processes and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities
Shipment Coordination & Transportation Management
- Coordinate and monitor end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure smooth, on-schedule delivery of all goods
- Arrange transportation for both local UAE and international shipments — selecting appropriate carriers and routes
- Track all active shipments in real time, proactively identifying and resolving any delivery delays or disruptions
- Liaise effectively with freight forwarders, suppliers, and customers to coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics activities
Shipping Documentation & Customs Compliance
- Prepare, manage, and verify all essential shipping documents including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
- Ensure full compliance with UAE customs regulations, import/export requirements, and all relevant company logistics policies
- Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to facilitate smooth clearance of all international shipments
- Maintain accurate filing and archiving of all shipping documents for audit, compliance, and reference purposes
Inventory Management & Warehouse Coordination
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records across all relevant systems and physical warehouse locations
- Coordinate closely with warehouse teams to align inventory data with physical stock and incoming/outgoing shipments
- Support stock reconciliation, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives as part of the supply chain operations
- Identify and escalate inventory discrepancies or shortages that may impact project timelines or customer commitments
Process Optimisation & Cost Efficiency
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimise logistics processes, reduce freight costs, and improve overall delivery efficiency
- Analyse logistics data and performance metrics to recommend and implement practical operational improvements
- Maintain accurate logistics data within ERP systems — SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics — for reliable reporting and planning
- Support cross-functional teams with logistics information, shipping updates, and supply chain coordination as required
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field — required
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain operations — UAE/GCC experience preferred
- Strong practical knowledge of shipping, freight management, customs procedures, and international trade documentation
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems — SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics — for logistics and inventory management
Preferred Qualifications
