Position Overview
As Logistics Specialist, you provide technical advisory support to warehouse operations and guidance to assigned personnel. You’ll handle receipt, storage and issue of specialized electronic equipment, review catalog data to recommend correct asset disposition, and plan warehouse storage layouts to keep operations efficient and accurate.

 Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inventory and store material; pull and issue material when requested
- Provide technical guidance to customers for issue, turn-in and pick-up from the Stock Record Account
- Review warehouse storage requirements daily and reorganize materiel as needed
- Conduct location surveys, pre-inventories and causative research for inventory discrepancies
- Write supporting statements for Inventory Adjustment Reports and DD Form 4949
- Review catalog data to recommend correct receipt, storage, issue or disposition actions
- Ensure supply documentation is filed per AR 25-400-2
- Verify serial numbers on receipt and issue documents, and Materiel Release Orders
- Request disposition instructions via LAN/email to the appropriate Source of Supply or TAMMC
- Ensure proper disposal of excess equipment through the Defense Logistics Agency
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High School graduate
- Experience: 2 years in warehouse operations
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Software: Microsoft Office — Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Systems Knowledge: IGC, LIW, WEBSDR, AESIP certification/familiarity
- Physical: Able to drive up to a 6,000-pound forklift and operate a pallet jack; lift 20-50 lbs
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills
