Position Overview
This Material Handler II role involves executing standard work independently, setting up and operating Value Stream workstations, issuing and delivering materials for production independently, storing materials in bins, racks or on shelves per identifying information, operating material handling equipment such as powered industrial trucks and pallet jacks, and handling moderately complex issues while referring more complex matters to higher-level staff.

Key Responsibilities
Standard Work & Workstation Operation
- Able to execute standard work independently
- Able to setup and operate Value Stream workstation
- Execute standard work with a high degree of quality and near zero quality discrepancies
- Execute standard work to meet efficiency standards on all tasks
Material Issuing, Storage & Movement
- Issue, deliver and move material for the production of company products independently
- Store materials in bins, racks or on shelves according to identifying information independently
- Move product between production departments
Equipment Operation
- Operate material handling equipment such as powered industrial trucks and pallet jacks, as trained
- Assist in the issuing, storage and movement of materials using appropriate equipment
Problem Solving & Support
- Handle moderately complex issues and problems, referring more complex issues to higher-level staff
- Assess and resolve simple problems in execution of standard work with support from others on complex tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years of Receiving and Shipping experience
Physical Requirements
- Standing, stooping, kneeling and walking, including occasional long periods of standing
- Lifting regularly up to 50 lbs, with frequent standing, lifting and walking
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision and depth perception
- Most work completed at a work bench or station
Essential Skills
- Ability to read and write in English
- Basic computer literacy using Microsoft Windows
- Basic math skills and ability to use basic measurement equipment (ruler, scale, calipers, tape measure)
