Position Overview
This Navaids Specialist role provides subject matter expertise on CNS/ATM infrastructure, including navigation aids, surveillance systems, ATM automation, and communication systems, supporting airport projects, ANSPs, and aviation authorities. You will develop technical specifications and system architectures, support tender preparation and bid evaluation, oversee system installation and commissioning, conduct FAT, SAT, and operational acceptance reviews, ensure compliance with ICAO and EUROCONTROL standards, support safety case development, conduct performance analysis and capacity studies, and coordinate design and construction activities related to ATM/CNS systems.

Key Responsibilities
CNS/ATM Technical Advisory
- Provide expert technical advisory in planning, design, implementation, validation, and optimization of CNS/ATM systems
- Provide subject matter expertise on navigation aids (ILS, VOR, DME, GNSS, PBN), surveillance systems, and ATM automation
Specifications, Tendering & Integration
- Develop technical specifications, system architectures, and integration strategies
- Support concept of operations (CONOPS) development and participate in tender preparation and bid evaluation
- Oversee system installation, integration, testing, and commissioning
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with ICAO standards, national regulations, and EUROCONTROL/regional ATM requirements
- Support safety case development and hazard analysis (FHA, PSSA, SSA)
- Contribute to safety management system (SMS) documentation and provide risk assessments
Performance Analysis & Modernization
- Conduct system performance analysis and capacity studies
- Recommend modernization and digital transformation initiatives
- Support transition to advanced ATM concepts including performance-based navigation and remote towers
Construction Coordination & Client Interface
- Coordinate and follow up on design and construction activities related to ATM/CNS systems projects
- Review construction submittals and respond to contractor RFIs and substitution requests
- Supervise engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of ATM/CNS systems
- Interface with clients on all ATM/CNS system components, ensuring high client satisfaction
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in ATM/CNS systems within aviation or airport projects
- Proven involvement in major ATM modernization or airport expansion projects
- Experience with ANSP or airport technical environments
Certifications
- ICAO CNS/ATM certification programs

- Strong knowledge of ICAO standards, EUROCONTROL, cybersecurity, and international aviation regulations
