Quality Assurance Specialist Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Specialist role supports the quality control activities that protect food safety from raw material to dispatch. You’ll work across production, warehouse, and logistics, assisting the Manager, Quality Control in putting the food safety management system into practice throughout the factory. That system is built on BRCGS, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and other audit frameworks, and your job is to help make it work every day. Preparation is a big part of the role. You’ll coordinate the documents needed for third-party audits such as HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRC, organic, and halal certifications, and for inspections by Dubai Municipality, SFDA, USFDA, and customers. Product information matters as well, so you’ll prepare product specifications for each manufactured item, along with label information, ingredient details, and nutrition facts that meet the requirements of each country. When complaints come in, from customers or internally, you’ll log them and help drive corrective and preventive action so the same issue doesn’t recur. Day-to-day verification keeps standards steady: you’ll check HACCP records and checklists, oversee QC supervisors’ work on critical control point monitoring, storage control, production checks, and incoming and outgoing goods, and make sure the paperwork matches the practice on the floor. Trend analysis on complaints, microbiological results, and environmental monitoring helps the team see where to focus, and you’ll support mock recall testing so the business is prepared if a product must be withdrawn. Training is part of the job too, as you deliver on-the-job instruction to production and warehouse staff.
As Quality Assurance Specialist, you’ll bring deep knowledge of food safety systems, audit preparation, and product compliance, while building the leadership and communication habits that a senior quality team relies on. The ideal candidate has at least seven years of experience in the food industry, including three years or more in quality specialist positions, and at least two years working in a BRCGS or FSSC 22000 V6 certified company. An undergraduate or master’s degree in microbiology or another food science discipline is expected. Certification as a BRCGS lead or internal auditor, and as an FSSC 22000 V6 lead or internal auditor, is highly valued, along with halal and organic training certificates. Full proficiency in written and spoken English and a valid UAE driving licence are required. For experienced food safety professionals in Dubai, this role offers the chance to shape audit readiness and quality across a working food factory.
Why This Role Matters: As Quality Assurance Specialist in Dubai, you protect consumers by keeping food safety systems working on the factory floor, lead audit preparation that keeps certifications and customer confidence intact, translate standards like BRCGS and FSSC 22000 into daily practice, coach production and warehouse teams, investigate complaints and drive lasting corrective action, and build a senior career in food quality assurance in the UAE.
