Position Overview
This Quality Control Chemist role in Ras Al Khaimah involves testing raw materials, intermediate/in-process blends, and finished products across construction chemicals, polymers, paints/coatings, adhesives, and sealants. You will conduct laboratory testing for viscosity, pH, consistency, and strength, ensure batches meet defined specifications, prepare Certificates of Analysis, investigate out-of-specification results, and maintain quality documentation in line with ISO and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing & Analysis
- Test raw materials, intermediate/in-process blends, and finished products
- Conduct laboratory testing for viscosity, pH, consistency, and strength
- Ensure batches meet defined product specifications and quality standards
Documentation & Certification
- Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (CoA)
- Maintain control samples, laboratory records, and testing documentation
- Maintain MSDS/SDS and quality documentation
Investigation & Corrective Action
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and customer quality complaints
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Compliance & Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure compliance with ISO, safety, and quality standards
- Perform routine calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of laboratory instruments
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Chemistry
- Preference for Polymer Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Material Science, Applied Chemistry, Polymer Science/Technology, Paint & Coating Technology, or Chemical Technology
Experience Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in construction chemicals, polymers, paints/coatings, adhesives, sealants, or related specialty chemical manufacturing
