Position Overview
This Quality Supervisor role monitors and enforces quality standards to ensure product integrity, compliance, and safety within warehouse operations and distribution processes. You will log and investigate quality complaints, apply statistical sampling to inspect deliveries and finished products, monitor storage conditions daily, ensure returned products are properly quarantined, audit warehouse facilities against BRC standards, manage the quality block tracker, and deliver training programs to educate teams on quality standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Complaint Investigation & Inspection
- Log and track quality-related complaints in the database, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Conduct initial investigations with customers and trade marketing teams to determine root causes
- Apply statistical sampling techniques to inspect incoming deliveries
- Physically analyze finished products during storage and before dispatch
Storage & Handling Monitoring
- Monitor and inspect storage conditions daily, including temperature, humidity, and stacking
- Ensure returned or refused products are quarantined for further inspection
- Validate correct handling during loading/unloading and confirm container/truck cleanliness
Quality Standards & Compliance
- Establish Acceptable Quality Limits (AQLs) for all products
- Assist in developing large-scale inspection techniques to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure strict compliance with safety policies, conducting regular audits
- Audit warehouse facilities at defined intervals in line with BRC Storage & Distribution standards
- Verify inbound and outbound processes follow traceability and recall protocols
- Review pest control activity effectiveness and initiate corrective actions
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of ISO standards and certifications
Records, Training & Team Culture
- Maintain detailed records of quality checks and investigations for data analysis
- Manage the quality block tracker to identify and resolve non-conformities
- Develop and deliver training programs on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
- Ensure warehouse employees wear proper PPE for a hygienic, safe environment
- Support the warehouse team in closing gaps identified during internal and external audits
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across all levels
