 Key Responsibilities

IFRS Accounting & Monthly/Annual Financial Closing

  • Manage end-to-end accounting for assigned group entities — ensuring timely and accurate monthly and annual closing of books in full compliance with IFRS standards and the group’s accounting policies and financial reporting deadlines
  • Review, verify, and post accounting vouchers accurately in the ERP or accounting system — maintaining a meticulous audit trail and ensuring all journal entries are properly authorised, documented, and compliant with IFRS accounting principles
  • Prepare standalone financial statements and assist with consolidated financial reporting and management reports in both local and reporting currencies — ensuring accuracy, completeness, and IFRS compliance across all financial deliverables
  • Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations regularly — identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records across all assigned group entity accounts

UAE VAT, Corporate Tax & Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with UAE VAT, UAE Corporate Tax, and all other applicable statutory requirements — managing filing deadlines, coordinating with tax consultants and auditors, and liaising with regulatory authorities professionally
  • Monitor evolving UAE tax and regulatory requirements — proactively updating accounting processes and compliance procedures to reflect changes in UAE VAT law, Corporate Tax regulations, and Federal Tax Authority guidance

  • Review payroll accounting, employee benefit calculations, incentive provisions, and statutory compliance contributions — ensuring accurate and timely recording of all employment-related costs across the assigned group entities
  • Review payment proposals and ensure appropriate verification and approvals are in place before payments are processed — maintaining payment controls and protecting the group’s financial governance requirements
  • Support treasury activities including cash flow planning, bank account reconciliations, and banking documentation — contributing to effective liquidity management and banking relationship maintenance across the group’s Dubai operations

Fixed Assets, ERP Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register accurately — managing asset capitalisation, periodic depreciation calculations, inter-entity transfers, and asset disposals in accordance with IFRS and group asset management policies
  • Coordinate with outsourced accountants and remote finance team members to ensure timely, accurate bookkeeping and financial reporting across all assigned entities — maintaining quality and consistency in all outsourced finance activities
  • Support ERP implementation projects, system migration initiatives, finance automation programs, and process improvement activities — contributing technical finance knowledge that ensures system changes accurately reflect accounting requirements
