Position Overview
As a Transport Specialist at GROFA®, you will assist with the planning, monitoring, and optimization of transports, keep track of shipments, and coordinate with logistics service providers. You will analyze incorrect, over- and under-deliveries, support the handling of escalations, check transport invoices, create analyses and reports, and contribute to projects, tenders, and the continuous improvement of logistics processes, working closely with freight forwarders, suppliers, customers, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities
Transport Planning & Coordination
- Assist with the planning, monitoring, and optimization of transports
- Keep track of shipments and coordinate with logistics service providers
- Work closely with freight forwarders, suppliers, customers, and internal departments for smooth day-to-day coordination
Delivery Analysis & Escalation Handling
- Analyze incorrect, over- and under-deliveries
- Support the handling of escalations arising from delivery or transport issues
- Ensure quality standards and KPIs are adhered to at all times in day-to-day business
Documentation & Reporting
- Check transport invoices for accuracy and compliance
- Create analyses and reports supporting logistics decision-making
- Ensure careful and consistent documentation of transport activities
Process Improvement & Projects
- Contribute to projects, tenders, and the continuous improvement of logistics processes
- Support the development and optimization of transport management workflows
- Contribute ideas for improving efficiency across the logistics function
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial training or a degree, ideally with a focus on freight forwarding, industry, or wholesale and foreign trade
Experience Requirements
- Ideally, initial practical experience in the field of transport, logistics, or supply chain management
- Ideally, initial experience with ERP or transport management systems
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and confident demeanor with internal and external partners
- Good German and English skills, both spoken and written
- Initiative, willingness to learn, and interest in developing logistical processes
- Willingness to acquire the qualification as a dangerous goods safety advisor is a plus
