We are hiring a Utility Operator in the United Arab Emirates to assist the Operator, Cell Relining in the refurbishment of superstructures and cell relining activities such as pot changing and rebuilding pot shells. This role ensures activities are carried out in accordance with standard procedures, safely and efficiently, to achieve maximum production within the aluminium smelting operation.

Position Overview
This Utility Operator role involves assisting the cell relining operator in preparing all necessary tools and equipment required for casting prior to operations, taking place in a safe and efficient manner. You will operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and pay loaders, assist with brick lining in accordance with required standards and specified designs, support superstructure refurbishment, welding, and fabrication jobs, and be capable of performing ramming processes while maintaining a high standard of housekeeping at all times.

Key Responsibilities
Cell Relining Support
- Assist cell relining operator in preparing all necessary tools and equipment required for casting
- Assist cell relining operator with brick lining in accordance with required standards and specified designs
- Assist in carrying out superstructure refurbishment, welding, and fabrication jobs
- Capable of performing ramming processes as required
Mobile Equipment Operation
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklift and pay loader as required
- Comply with all safety procedures during equipment operation
Housekeeping & Safety
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times
- Follow safety protocols for aluminium/water explosion risks and electrical hazards
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Completion of training modules specified for the PG5 position
Experience Requirements
- One year of experience in heavy industry is preferable
