Position Overview
This Sorter role involves receiving soiled laundry items from customers and internal collection points, sorting garments, uniforms, and linens according to color, fabric type, and customer specifications. You will inspect items for stains, damage, or defects, separate heavily stained or damaged items for special treatment, ensure proper tagging and tracking of customer items, and prepare sorted laundry for washing.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Sorting
- Receive soiled laundry items from customers and internal collection points
- Sort garments, uniforms, linens, and other textile items according to color, fabric type, washing requirements, and customer specifications
- Prepare sorted laundry for washing by loading items into designated carts, bins, or conveyors
Quality Inspection & Item Tracking
- Inspect items for stains, damage, missing buttons, tears, or other defects and report findings to the supervisor
- Separate heavily stained or damaged items for special treatment
- Ensure proper tagging, counting, and tracking of customer items
Facility Standards & Productivity
- Follow company procedures for handling customer garments and specialty fabrics
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sorting area
- Assist with loading and unloading laundry carts as required
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality standards
- Support other laundry operations when required
Qualifications & Requirements
