Position Overview
This Logistics Specialist role in Düsseldorf involves taking ownership of logistics activities across external logistics partners, customers and internal teams. You will become a key point of contact for logistics matters across the business, identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working, and work closely with Supply Chain, Sales and other commercial teams to ensure an efficient flow of products, while supporting digitalisation initiatives and the continued development of the company’s logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics Ownership & Coordination
- Take ownership of logistics activities across external logistics partners, customers and internal teams
- Become a key point of contact for logistics matters across the business
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Sales and other commercial teams to ensure an efficient flow of products
- Join a highly collaborative Supply Chain function with excellent long-term development opportunities
Process Improvement & Digitalisation
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working
- Support digitalisation initiatives and the continued development of the company’s logistics operations
- Challenge existing processes and suggest better, more efficient solutions
- Bring fresh, proactive thinking to an established Supply Chain function
Performance & Commercial Management
- Take responsibility for performance reporting and inventory accuracy
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations with logistics partners
- Manage relationships with 3PL and external logistics providers
- Ensure strong warehousing and transportation performance across the network
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline would be advantageous
Experience Requirements
- Solid experience across operational logistics within FMCG, consumer goods or a similar fast-moving environment
- Experience working with 3PLs / external logistics providers
- Good understanding of warehousing and transportation
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA would be a plus
Essential Skills
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge existing processes
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with a drive to make an impact
- Fluent German (at least C1) and good English
- Ability to work collaboratively across Supply Chain, Sales and commercial teams
