Position Overview
This Psychiatrist role involves conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans for patients across various age groups. You will conduct follow-up consultations, prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, deliver evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, and support patient education and community awareness around mental health.

Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnose mental health conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients across various age groups
Ongoing Care & Medication Management
- Conduct follow-up consultations and prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions
Care Coordination & Community Support
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including primary and urgent care teams
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinical and ethical standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in case discussions
- Support patient education and community awareness around mental health
Qualifications & Requirements
Licensing Requirements
- Eligibility or license (DOH) to practice Psychiatry in the United Arab Emirates
- Board certification or equivalent credentials preferred
Essential Skills
- Strong foundation in Medicine and Psychiatry, integrating psychiatric care within broader medical settings
- Demonstrated expertise in psychiatric care and mental health, including assessment and management
- Proficiency in evidence-based psychopharmacology and psychotherapy
- Strong clinical documentation, risk assessment, and crisis intervention skills
- Fluency in English and Arabic (compulsory)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or training in Adolescent Psychiatry and child or youth mental health
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary care models
