Position Overview
This Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Operations Trainee role is a 6-month, full-time program providing exposure to the skills required for a future Data Center Engineering Operations Technician role. Trainees assist in maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment, support root cause analysis, take daily operational readings, use CMMS systems, and work alongside third-party vendors on mission-critical infrastructure including generators, UPSs, chillers and building automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Operations
- Assist in maintaining and operating mechanical and electrical equipment
- Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
- Support root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Help troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
Systems & Vendor Coordination
- Use the internal CMMS to manage maintenance workflows
- Work alongside third-party vendors and contractors onsite
Critical Infrastructure Exposure
- Work with equipment supporting mission-critical servers, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, VFDs and building automation systems

- UAE National with family book
Educational Requirements
- Recently graduated or in final semester with a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering), OR
- Recently graduated from a Technical/Trade school program (HVAC, electrician, facilities maintenance or similar)
Physical Requirements
- Working at heights and from ladders
- Regularly lifting/moving up to 22kg (49lbs) unassisted, with group lifts for heavier loads
- Using hands to handle and manipulate small tools, wires and objects
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good time management and organizational skills
