Position Overview
As Design Engineer Defence, you design and develop components, assemblies and systems in shipbuilding with a focus on defence projects. You create 3D models and technical drawings with CAD software such as Siemens NX and run simulations and calculations to optimise your designs. You work closely with different departments and shipyard partners and take military technical guidelines, safety requirements and maritime classification rules into account. You also create and maintain technical documentation, parts lists and production documents.

Design & Modelling
- Design and develop components, assemblies and systems in shipbuilding, focused on defence projects

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Completed technical training, e.g. mechanical engineering, shipbuilding or metalworking
- Further training as technician (e.g. mechanical or shipbuilding technology) or several years of relevant design experience
Skills
- Good to solid CAD knowledge, ideally Siemens NX
- Technical understanding, structured work style and team spirit
Language
- Business-fluent German, spoken and written
- Good English, spoken and written
