Position Overview
As the Consumer Sensory Insights Manager for MEMAG and NAL at Givaudan Dubai, you will lead end-to-end consumer and sensory research projects that provide critical insights for new flavour and taste solution development. Aligned with overall business objectives and Givaudan’s global marketing strategy, this role demands a proactive, self-driven professional with deep expertise in sensory methodologies, statistical analysis, and cross-functional stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities
Consumer & Sensory Project Leadership
- Lead consumer and sensory research projects across the MEMAG and NAL region from the Dubai hub
- Provide actionable consumer and sensory support to marketing, product management, flavour creation, application, and commercial teams at global and regional levels
- Design and conduct sophisticated research projects using robust data collection methods and advanced computerised protocols
- Perform thorough statistical analysis, interpret results, and deliver clear, actionable business recommendations
Research Strategy & Innovation
- Proactively shape project strategies by developing innovative research approaches aligned with business priorities
- Ensure use of advanced research methodologies and industry best practices across all sensory and consumer programmes
- Contribute meaningfully to the overall sensory and consumer understanding strategy at both regional and global levels
- Drive flavour and taste innovation by converting complex consumer sensory data into compelling product insights
Stakeholder Communication & Insights Delivery
- Communicate consumer and sensory insights clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders across disciplines
- Facilitate informed decision-making by presenting project outcomes in a concise, engaging, and accessible manner
- Build strong partnerships with global and regional marketing, flavour creation, and commercial teams
- Share knowledge consistently across regional and global teams to strengthen insight alignment and consistency
Team Collaboration, Mentoring & Resource Management
- Collaborate with sensory colleagues to prioritise research projects and allocate resources effectively
- Offer supervision, guidance, and mentoring to sensory team members as appropriate
- Foster a culture of learning, creativity, and scientific rigour within the regional CSI team

Data Integrity & Records Management
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all research projects, study designs, and analytical outputs
- Apply proficiency in statistical analysis techniques and sensory data software applications for study execution and result interpretation

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Business, Economics, or a closely related discipline
- Academic background must support a strong technical and commercial understanding of sensory science and consumer research
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in sensory science and consumer research roles
- Proven expertise in sensory methodologies including descriptive, discriminative, and quantitative testing and experimental design
- Demonstrated ability to design complex research studies independently and translate findings into clear business insights
- Well-versed in cross-functional project management, problem-solving, and collaboration in research and product development environments
