Key Responsibilities
Classroom Instruction & Lesson Planning
- Develop and implement engaging chemistry lesson plans fully aligned with American curriculum standards
- Teach general chemistry, honors chemistry, and AP Chemistry courses to high school students effectively
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional resources to accommodate diverse learning styles
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry
Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring
- Assess student performance through exams, lab reports, projects, and varied evaluation methods
- Provide timely, constructive, and detailed feedback to support individual student improvement
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administration regarding academic progress
- Monitor student growth and adapt instructional approaches to maximize learning outcomes
Laboratory Management & Safety
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized laboratory environment at all times
- Ensure all laboratory safety protocols are strictly followed during experiments and practical sessions
- Prepare laboratory materials and equipment in advance to support effective practical chemistry lessons
- Conduct engaging and inquiry-based lab activities that reinforce theoretical chemistry concepts
Collaboration & Professional Development
- Collaborate actively with science department members to align curriculum and share proven best practices

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry with a recognized educational diploma or teaching qualification
- Master’s degree holders will be given preference for senior or advanced placement roles
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a high school chemistry teacher — required for all applicants
- Demonstrated experience teaching American curriculum, AP Chemistry, or international school programs preferred
Essential Skills
- IELTS score of 6.5 or above — strong written and spoken English communication skills essential
- Excellent IT skills and interpersonal communication abilities to engage effectively with students and parents
