Position Overview
The Supply Chain Program Manager at Tesla Grünheide will serve as the essential link between Tesla’s Supply Chain Organization and its most senior internal stakeholders — providing executive-level program updates, identifying and communicating risks, driving supply chain strategy, managing complex project timelines, owning RFQ and contract management processes, and leading negotiation for piece price and product development. Key Responsibilities
Executive Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Represent the Supply Chain organization in meetings with Tesla’s Executive Team — providing timely program status updates, highlighting potential risks, and outlining proposed solutions and mitigating steps
- Create compelling presentations, data visualizations, and executive summaries that guide high-stakes decision-making across the supply chain team at the most senior organizational level
- Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards to track program status and communicate key project metrics clearly to Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain leadership
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with Global Supply Managers, Supplier Industrialization Engineers, Material Planners, and Logistics Managers across all commodities
Supply Chain Strategy & Program Management
- Analyze and create a complete, end-to-end Supply Chain strategy for the assigned vehicle program — providing a clear strategic framework for the organization during all key decision-making activities
- Define and drive execution of all Supply Chain metrics and project requirements — spanning design readiness, sourcing progress, supplier readiness, and all program milestone deliverables
- Continuously monitor and measure project processes and activities to ensure no delays occur and potential risks are identified, escalated, and resolved in a timely and effective manner
- Manage program timelines and resources actively — ensuring risk mitigation actions are always identified, resourced, and in place to guarantee successful program launches at the Gigafactory
RFQ, Contract Management & Negotiation
- Own the complete RFQ and contract management process — ensuring Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and all related contracts are negotiated, agreed, and properly documented before business is initiated
- Drive negotiation for piece price and product development to ensure Tesla’s pricing meets best-landed-cost expectations and Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality
- Coordinate contract execution across multiple supplier relationships — ensuring all commercial agreements are aligned with Tesla’s supply chain strategy and program requirements
- Maintain comprehensive contract documentation and ensure all commercial milestones and obligations are tracked, reported, and fulfilled on schedule
Data Analytics, Dashboard Development & Risk Management
- Create and maintain Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent data visualizations and executive dashboards that provide real-time supply chain program visibility to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Analyze complex supply chain data to identify performance trends, risk signals, supplier readiness gaps, and operational inefficiencies that require proactive management
- Bring stakeholders together to track key Supply Chain metrics — ensuring the timely and efficient execution of Tesla’s complete portfolio of vehicle supply chain projects
- Champion sustainability principles in daily work, operating in line with Tesla’s Global Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Policy and EMAS requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent — MBA, Engineering, and other technical degrees are a significant plus and actively preferred for this senior role
- Additional professional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2), supply chain (APICS, CSCMP), or data analytics are a valued advantage
Experience Requirements
- At least 5–10 years of experience in project management, consulting, or product management — automotive, manufacturing, or data analytics experience is an important advantage for this Tesla role
- Proven experience creating executive-level dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization platforms
- Demonstrated experience in RFQ management, supplier contract negotiation, piece price agreement management, and supply chain program execution in a complex manufacturing environment
