Key Responsibilities
Seed & Steck Warehouse Operations
- Oversee receiving, repacking, processing coordination, and outbound shipping of all seed and steck materials
- Ensure seed and steck quality is consistently maintained during storage, handling, and all processing stages
- Ensure the quality, integrity, and proper handling of seed and steck inventory across every warehouse process
Inventory Management & Process Control
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas to maximize efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure all inventory transactions, shipments, and process flows are accurate, timely, and compliant with company standards
- Order and maintain adequate consumable materials to support uninterrupted warehouse operations
Team Leadership & Labor Supervision
- Lead, organize, and supervise multiple contract labor teams throughout the full processing year
- Support staffing plans and assign daily workloads based on operational priorities and seasonal demands
- Provide consistent hands-on coordination and control of daily warehouse activities to keep operations on track
SAP Systems & Reporting
- Utilize SAP and other company-provided software applications to maintain accurate records and document required operational information
- Generate regular reports and monitor warehouse status and projections to support management decision-making
- Maintain full digital traceability of inventory movements, shipments, and processing activities
Safety, Compliance & Cross-Department Support
- Ensure Company handbook, rules, guidelines, procedures, and safety policies are consistently followed by all team members
- Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across all warehouse and processing areas
- Support other departments as needed, including seed production field maintenance and steck nursery planting activities
- Travel, drive, and operate a forklift on behalf of the business as operationally required
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Several years of demonstrated experience in warehouse supervision — this is a non-negotiable requirement
- Agricultural experience is strongly preferred; candidates from farming, seed, or agri-processing backgrounds are highly valued
Technical Skills
- High mechanical knowledge and strong technical aptitude for warehouse equipment and processing machinery
- Valid forklift certification is required — candidates must be able to operate a forklift safely and legally
