Position Overview
This Regional Quality Coordinator role at Almarai in Riyadh is a full-time, on-site quality assurance position that places you at the heart of regional product quality management for one of the world’s most recognized food companies. You will be responsible for maintaining robust quality systems across all stages of the product journey — from receiving and inspection through to handling, storage, distribution, and delivery. Leveraging your expertise in Poultry QA, ISO 9000, and HACCP, you will implement quality procedures, execute audits, develop training programmes, produce detailed reports, and drive systematic corrective actions to ensure every product reaching consumers and customers meets Almarai’s uncompromising standards. Key Responsibilities
Regional Quality Systems Maintenance
- Maintain and uphold quality systems across regional operations covering receiving, inspecting, handling, storing, selling, and delivering of all quality products
- Implement defined quality procedures consistently across all regional sites, distribution points, and retail touchpoints
- Update and manage Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) forms and quality documentation to reflect current standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure quality system alignment with Almarai’s internal standards and internationally recognized frameworks including ISO 9000 and HACCP
Quality Auditing & Inspections
- Conduct scheduled and unannounced quality audits across regional outlets, warehouses, distribution centres, and delivery operations
- Inspect product handling, storage conditions, hygiene practices, and food safety compliance at all regional touchpoints
- Identify non-conformances, document findings accurately, and escalate quality risks to management with clear corrective action recommendations
- Follow up on all corrective actions to verify timely, effective resolution and sustainable improvement in quality performance
Training & Competence Development
- Deliver quality training programmes to regional teams covering food hygiene, product handling, quality procedures, and ISO/HACCP requirements
- Build a strong quality culture across the regional workforce through consistent, practical, and engaging training delivery
- Identify training gaps within regional teams and develop targeted programmes to address competence shortfalls in quality management
- Support onboarding of new regional staff with structured quality induction and product knowledge training
Reporting & Corrective Action Management
- Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely quality reports covering audit results, non-conformances, consumer complaints, and corrective actions
- Review quality performance data, identify recurring issues, and recommend systemic improvements to regional quality management processes
- Conduct continuous improvement analysis to optimize quality outcomes across receiving, storage, distribution, and product delivery operations
- Communicate quality findings and recommendations clearly to regional managers and senior quality leadership in both English and Arabic
Consumer & Customer Satisfaction
- Ensure all quality activities across the region are aligned with the goal of satisfying the needs of consumers and trade customers
- Investigate consumer and customer quality complaints, identify root causes, and implement lasting corrective measures
- Monitor product quality at the point of sale and delivery to ensure Almarai’s products consistently meet premium quality standards
- Support the continuous improvement of product composition, quality attributes, and handling standards based on consumer and customer feedback
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Poultry Technology, Poultry Science, Food Science, Animal Science, or a closely related field
- Certification or demonstrated knowledge in ISO 9000 and HACCP quality management standards is required
Experience Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in Poultry Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems
- Demonstrated understanding of product composition, product quality standards, correct product handling, and food hygiene principles
- Practical experience in quality system implementation, updating, upgrading, and evaluation within a food or poultry environment
Essential Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English — Arabic verbal communication skills are also required for this regional role
- Strong report writing skills with a structured, accurate, and results-oriented approach to documentation and analysis
- Self-driven, highly motivated, and result-oriented with a clear focus on delivering high-quality outcomes consistently
- Solid knowledge of ISO 9000, HACCP, GMP, and food hygiene best practices relevant to poultry and food distribution
- Ability to work independently across multiple regional sites while maintaining a consistent and collaborative team approach
