Position Overview
This Senior Quality Control Coordinator role at talabat tMart is a hands-on, operationally critical position within the Dubai warehouse team of one of the region’s most innovative and fast-growing quick commerce brands. You will be the quality guardian for every product that enters and leaves the tMart distribution centre — ensuring that cold chain integrity, food safety standards, product condition, and labeling compliance are maintained at all times.
The role demands a detail-oriented, proactive QC professional with mandatory butchery experience, strong cold chain knowledge, HACCP familiarity, and the confidence to make real-time quality decisions in a fast-paced DC environment. The QC Coordinator at tMart ensures that no out-of-temperature, mislabeled, or sub-standard product ever makes it into a customer’s delivery bag. Key Responsibilities in Detail
Inbound & Outbound Quality Control
- Perform comprehensive inbound QC checks on all arriving products — verifying temperature compliance, shelf life requirements, product labeling accuracy, and overall product condition before accepting delivery.
- Enforce FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expired First Out) protocols consistently across all warehouse storage areas — and ensure proper product segregation is maintained to prevent cross-contamination and stock rotation failures.
- Conduct thorough outbound quality checks before products are dispatched to tMart stores — ensuring that only compliant, correctly labelled, and in-condition products reach the delivery team.
Cold Chain & Warehouse Hygiene
- Monitor warehouse hygiene standards, storage conditions, and cold chain compliance across all product categories — with particular attention to chilled, frozen, fresh meat, poultry, and butchery products.
- Ensure strict compliance with UAE food safety regulations and all approved SOPs and operational procedures — maintaining the highest standards of food safety in the DC environment at all times.
- Report and escalate KPIs including rejections, wastage, and deviations to management in a timely manner — providing clear, data-driven summaries that support operational decision-making.
Supplier Quality Management
- Lead the product rejection process for non-conforming deliveries — documenting all rejections clearly, communicating with suppliers, and ensuring non-conforming products are appropriately quarantined or returned.
- Track supplier performance and evaluation metrics — maintaining accurate records of supplier quality performance and following up on Corrective Action Plans (CAP) to drive sustained supplier improvement.
- Coordinate closely with operations and supplier teams to resolve quality issues quickly — ensuring that non-conformances are addressed without causing significant disruption to warehouse operations or customer order fulfillment.
What Did We Order? — Qualifications Required
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of QC experience in a Distribution Centre, warehouse, FMCG retail business, cross-dock, or food operations environment — required; candidates without this background will not be considered
- Butchery experience is a MUST HAVE — this is a non-negotiable requirement; candidates without demonstrated butchery or meat/poultry QC experience will not be shortlisted
- Strong knowledge of cold chain management and inbound inspection processes — practical, hands-on experience with temperature monitoring and cold chain compliance in a food warehouse environment
Certifications
- HACCP / ISO Food Safety certification is preferred — candidates holding these certifications will be given priority during the selection process
- Familiarity with UAE food safety regulatory requirements — Dubai Municipality and relevant food safety authority standards applicable to grocery DC operations
