Position Overview
The Divisional Quality Assurance Manager at Almarai’s Infant Formula Plant is a senior, strategic leadership position within the Dairy & Infant Nutrition Business Unit. This role drives business performance through rigorous compliance with Quality Management Systems, provides strategic oversight of divisional quality functions and processes, and leads a team of quality professionals in a high-compliance, multinational dairy and infant nutrition environment. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in food safety standards, regulatory frameworks, and crisis management at a leadership level.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management Systems Leadership
- Drive full compliance with Quality Management Systems across the Dairy & Infant Nutrition Business Unit
- Provide strategic leadership across divisional quality functions, processes, and teams
- Oversee implementation and maintenance of FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and ISO 9001 frameworks
- Ensure all quality standards meet multinational dairy and infant nutrition regulatory requirements
Regulatory Interaction & Crisis Management
- Lead regulatory interaction with government and food safety authorities across GCC markets
- Manage quality-related crisis situations with speed, accuracy, and stakeholder confidence
- Establish crisis management protocols aligned with Almarai’s “Quality You Can Trust” principle
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during regulatory audits, inspections, and certifications
Facility Start-Ups, Expansions & Validation
- Lead quality assurance for facility start-ups, expansions, and validation activities at Infant Formula Plant
- Develop and implement quality programs for new production lines and product categories
- Oversee commissioning and qualification of equipment and processes meeting infant nutrition standards
- Ensure all validation activities meet applicable regulatory and internal quality requirements
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, develop, and manage divisional QA teams across Al Kharj production facilities
- Build high-performance quality culture with strong accountability and results orientation
- Manage external partners including suppliers, third-party providers, and certification bodies
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across production, supply chain, and R&D
Food Safety Programs & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and continuously improve quality management and food safety programs for dairy and infant nutrition
- Apply strong analytical and decision-making capabilities to drive data-led quality improvements
- Implement strategic planning for quality excellence across Almarai’s most sensitive product categories
- Deliver business performance outcomes aligned with Almarai’s quality and commercial objectives
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Applied Science, or a related discipline
- Master’s degree is a distinct advantage and preferred for senior candidates
Certifications
- FSSC 22000 certification — Lead Auditor preferred
- ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 certifications highly valued
Experience Requirements
- 10–15 years of Quality Management experience in a multinational dairy, infant nutrition, or pharmaceutical environment
- Strong, proven understanding of food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems
- Hands-on experience in regulatory interaction, crisis management, and facility start-ups and expansions
- Demonstrated track record in validation activities within high-compliance manufacturing environments
