Position Overview
This Quality Assurance Administrator role at IFFCO’s Emigrain division in the UAE is a technically hands-on and compliance-critical position centred on the accurate performance and clear communication of laboratory tests for wheat and flour quality determination. The successful candidate will conduct quality inspection and analysis of all raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products, carry out incoming packaging material inspections, perform online process inspections, and monitor GMP compliance throughout the production environment. Documentation responsibilities are significant — the role requires maintaining records aligned with ISO 17025, HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC standards, as well as calibration and maintenance records for laboratory equipment. The role also encompasses active participation in workplace hazard identification, occupational health and safety risk assessments, and incident reporting — ensuring the IFFCO Emigrain operation remains fully compliant, safe, and operating to the highest food quality standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing & Wheat / Flour Quality Analysis
- Perform accurate and timely laboratory tests to determine wheat and flour quality across all stages of production
- Conduct quality inspection and analysis of all raw materials, semi-finished, and finished flour and feed products
- Maintain detailed and accurate flour and feed analysis reports for internal records and management review
- Communicate laboratory test results clearly and promptly to supervisors and the quality management team
Incoming Material & Online Process Inspection
- Perform incoming packaging material inspections — verifying quality, specification compliance, and suitability for use
- Conduct online process inspections of both finished and semi-finished products throughout the production line
- Identify non-conforming materials or process deviations and escalate findings to supervisors promptly
- Adhere strictly to the quality inspection plan, completing all required inspections on schedule and as per the defined plan
GMP Monitoring & Document Management
- Monitor and actively maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards across all relevant production and laboratory areas
- Maintain all required documentation aligned with ISO 17025, HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC certification standards
- Use and maintain all laboratory equipment properly — including calibration, basic repair, and accurate record-keeping
- Maintain cleanliness of all work areas, ensuring the laboratory environment meets hygiene and safety standards at all times
Safety, Risk Management & Incident Reporting
- Assist supervisors and managers in identifying workplace hazards and participating in risk assessment activities
- Be aware of and follow Emigrain’s adopted risk management procedures when undertaking all tasks and projects
- Report any incidents or near misses without undue delay to supervisors as they relate to occupational health and safety
- Do not interfere with or misuse any device or equipment provided as part of a risk control or safety measure
Raw Material & Finished Goods Safety
- Ensure raw material and finished goods safety at all times in strict accordance with established safety rules and procedures
- Follow all reasonable directions from supervisors and managers with regard to workplace safety and quality compliance
- Adhere to the shop floor inspection plan — completing all inspections as per schedule and to the required quality standard
- Comply fully with all company policies, safety standards, and work rules and assist with any additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or a closely related scientific field
- Additional certifications in ISO 17025, HACCP, HALAL compliance, or food safety standards are strongly advantageous
Experience Requirements
- Relevant hands-on experience in the baking industry or a chemical laboratory from a flour or feed milling business
- Practical knowledge of wheat and flour quality testing, analysis methodologies, and laboratory reporting procedures
- Demonstrated ability to maintain documentation aligned with ISO 17025, HACCP, HALAL, FSSC, and GMP requirements
