Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Quality Control Testing & Laboratory Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive quality control testing of raw materials and finished lubricant products, including viscosity, flash point, density, TBN, TAN, and other standard lubricant performance parameters.
- Perform accurate laboratory analysis using established testing procedures and maintain detailed, up-to-date test records for every batch processed through the facility.
- Monitor blending and production processes in real time to identify deviations from quality specifications and intervene promptly to prevent non-conforming product release.
Lubricant Formulation & Product Development
- Develop and optimize lubricant formulations to meet target performance specifications, customer requirements, and international quality standards.
- Support new product development projects from bench-scale formulation through to production trials, ensuring technical feasibility and quality alignment at every stage.
- Contribute to product improvement initiatives by analyzing performance data and recommending formulation adjustments that enhance product quality or reduce production costs.
Quality Assurance & Corrective Actions
- Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints thoroughly — identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure full compliance with internal quality standards, standardized testing procedures, and all applicable HSE requirements within the laboratory and production environment.
- Maintain quality documentation, calibration records, and laboratory SOPs in line with company and regulatory requirements.
Technical Support & Advisory
- Provide expert technical support to production, sales, and management teams on lubricant performance characteristics, product specifications, and quality benchmarks.
- Advise on correct product selection, application performance, and technical compliance for customer-specific requirements across automotive, industrial, and commercial lubricant segments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field from a recognised university.
- Additional postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in quality management or lubricant technology are a valuable advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Prior experience in lubricants manufacturing, petrochemicals, oil blending, or quality control laboratory environments is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience conducting lubricant laboratory tests such as viscosity measurement, flash point testing, density analysis, TBN, and TAN determination.
