Position Overview
As a Data Scientist at Emirates Group, you will undertake high-impact Data Science projects across the Emirates portfolio. Your work will combine advanced statistical modelling, machine learning, and big data technologies to uncover insights and deliver commercial value. You will partner with cross-functional teams spanning computer science and mathematics, working in agile sprints to inject actionable intelligence into business processes at their point of highest impact.

Key Responsibilities
Analytics Project Delivery
- Deliver end-to-end analytics projects using statistical and machine learning techniques
- Produce key business insights and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders
- Analyse business metrics and KPIs to identify trends, issues, and optimisation opportunities
- Address day-to-day technical issues while maintaining high quality of deliveries
Data Science Development
- Develop data analysis, visualisation, tools, models, and technical documentation
- Derive business insight from large structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets
- Deploy insights into commercial processes to extract maximum business value
- Build reusable libraries and packages for use across the wider data science team
Machine Learning & Big Data
- Work with big data technologies including Spark and the Hadoop ecosystem
- Apply deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and Keras to complex problems
- Use SQL, R, and Python for data manipulation, modelling, and analysis
- Develop and maintain production-ready Data Science solutions at enterprise scale
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Work with cross-functional teams combining computer science and mathematics disciplines
- Collaborate in quick sprint iterations using the best-fit algorithms and techniques
- Support sprint and work design planning to bridge research and analytics gaps
- Develop analytics tools for A/B testing, segmentation, funnel analysis, and more
DevOps & Engineering Best Practices
- Apply DevOps frameworks including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker
- Build DS solutions designed for production usage and long-term maintainability
- Challenge and review quality and value generated from analytical outputs
- Provide data-driven solutions across required business areas with measurable results
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- MSc in Data Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, or Economics
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in a quantitative or computational discipline is essential
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Information Systems
- Demonstrated experience delivering advanced analytical projects in large, complex organisations
- Experience working in multi-functional environments with diverse stakeholders
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience across the full Data Science ecosystem
- Proficiency with big data technologies: Spark and Hadoop ecosystem
- Experience with deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow, Keras, and equivalents
- Strong command of SQL, R, and Python for data science applications
