Position Overview
This Land Surveyor role performs field surveying activities to support accurate setting-out, verification, and as-built deliverables in line with project drawings, specifications, and safety requirements. You will review drawings and documents, perform land and field surveys and geodetic calculations, supervise survey-related activities on site, interface with clients and contractors to verify survey requirements, and complete surveying tasks on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.

Key Responsibilities
Field Surveying & Setting-Out
- Review drawings and documents related to the works
- Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations; supervise survey-related activities on site
- Carry out setting-out, level checks, and verification of service locations to protect existing utilities
- Operate and maintain survey equipment including Total Station, GPS, levelling machine, and data collectors
Coordination & Project Delivery
- Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements
- Complete surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets
- Measure completed work when required and support progress/quantity verification
Documentation & Safety
- Prepare sketches to support fieldwork and maintain survey information (field books, sketches, calculations)
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings
- Observe site safety procedures and follow site HSE requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying (or equivalent)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, roads, and utilities projects
Essential Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with CAD software and survey software
- Proficiency with Total Station, data collectors, levelling machines, and GPS equipment
- Good written and spoken communication skills
Desired Skills
- Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard industry work procedures
- Consultancy or construction supervision experience
