Position Overview
This Superintendent Construction role directs and manages fabrication construction activities in line with project specifications, schedules, and company standards. You will liaise with project management and engineering teams to coordinate project phases and resources, uphold the highest HSE standards, guarantee quality control throughout construction processes, optimize workforce, equipment, and material resources, and supervise subcontractors and vendors to ensure contractual and project standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
Construction Leadership & Coordination
- Direct and manage fabrication construction activities in line with project specifications, schedules, and standards
- Liaise with project management and engineering teams to coordinate project phases and resources
- Interface and share common planning with all disciplines to maintain a clear target plan
- Discuss 4-week activity planning and assign workforce to drive a Manpower Loading Factor (MLF) of 1 or above
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Uphold the highest safety standards, implementing and enforcing comprehensive HSE protocols
- Guarantee quality control throughout construction processes, ensuring compliance with industry codes
- Own and lead implementation, enforcement, and verification of compliance with McDermott policies and procedures
- Ensure employees understand their responsibility and authority to implement policy requirements
- Ensure timely completion of all mandatory training by themselves and their teams
Resource Management & Reporting
- Optimize workforce scheduling, equipment allocation, and material procurement to meet project objectives
- Supervise subcontractors and vendors, ensuring performance meets contractual agreements
- Maintain accurate project documentation and provide timely progress updates to stakeholders
- Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement, mentoring staff and promoting skill development
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Advanced industry-specific certifications are desirable
Experience Requirements
- Extensive experience in the EPCI industry, with significant time in a leadership role overseeing fabrication construction projects
- Profound knowledge of modern fabrication techniques and standards relevant to construction and EPCI sectors
- Demonstrated ability to manage HSE systems effectively; certifications in occupational health and safety preferred
