Position Overview
The ELV Engineer at EUROSEC Dubai is a technically versatile, client-facing role that places you at the centre of the company’s project delivery operations. You will manage and supervise ELV system installations and maintenance activities across the full spectrum of low-current and security technologies — from CCTV and access control to structured cabling, PA systems, and SMATV — while coordinating with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the required quality standard.
Beyond technical installation oversight, this role requires strong troubleshooting ability, BOQ and drawing review skills, and professional client communication — making it ideal for an ELV engineer who wants a role with real breadth, real accountability, and real variety across Dubai’s dynamic security systems and ELV market in 2026.
Why This Role Matters: Every office tower, hotel, residential development, and retail complex in Dubai depends on a properly designed, correctly installed, and expertly commissioned ELV and security infrastructure to keep people safe and operations running smoothly. As EUROSEC’s ELV Engineer, you will be the technical expert ensuring that the CCTV cameras, access gates, PA systems, and structured cabling networks in some of Dubai’s most active projects perform exactly as intended — from first fix through final handover and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
ELV System Installation & Supervision
- Manage and supervise complete ELV system installations and maintenance activities across multiple active project sites in Dubai and the UAE — ensuring all installation works are executed correctly, safely, and in full compliance with approved designs and project specifications
- Coordinate all project activities from initial installation and system testing through to formal commissioning and project handover — managing the full delivery lifecycle for each ELV system package from kick-off to client sign-off
- Ensure all ELV projects are completed in accordance with approved engineering designs, company quality standards, and agreed project timelines — maintaining zero-tolerance for substandard installation practices or unexplained programme delays
- Manage subcontractors, technicians, and site teams assigned to ELV installation and maintenance activities — providing clear technical direction, daily oversight, and professional leadership that keeps all site teams productive and aligned with project requirements
Client Management & Technical Coordination
- Handle client requirements, technical discussions, site meetings, and regular project updates — serving as EUROSEC’s primary technical interface with clients throughout the installation, commissioning, and handover phases of every assigned project
- Coordinate actively with consultants, contractors, clients, and internal departments — ensuring all parties have clear and timely information about project status, technical decisions, and outstanding actions at every stage of delivery
- Review and assess technical drawings, project specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and scope documents — verifying completeness, technical accuracy, and compliance with client requirements before work commences on-site
- Manage supplier relationships and procurement coordination — liaising with equipment suppliers and material providers to ensure timely delivery of ELV system components, panels, cabling, and accessories aligned with the project installation programme
Technical Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to ELV systems in the field — diagnosing faults across CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, intercom, structured cabling, PA, SMATV, IPTV, and time attendance systems with speed and accuracy
- Provide technical support and after-sales service for installed ELV systems when required — responding to client service requests, investigating system faults, and implementing solutions that restore system performance to required operational standards
- Apply strong problem-solving skills and systematic fault-finding methodology to diagnose installation issues, wiring faults, configuration errors, and integration failures across complex multi-system ELV installations
- Identify potential technical issues during the installation phase before they become commissioning problems — recommending practical, cost-effective solutions that prevent rework, service delays, and client dissatisfaction
Reporting, Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare accurate and well-structured site reports, progress updates, technical documentation, and project handover documents — maintaining a complete and auditable record of all ELV installation, testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities across each project
- Ensure full compliance with UAE safety regulations and project HSE requirements throughout all installation and site activities — promoting a proactive safety culture among all site teams working under your supervision
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation including as-built drawings, test records, commissioning reports, and warranty documentation — ensuring that all handover packages are complete, accurate, and formally accepted by the client and relevant authorities
- Manage multiple concurrent projects effectively — tracking progress, priorities, and deadlines across each project simultaneously and ensuring no project suffers from neglect or delayed management attention
Candidate Requirements
Experience Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience as an ELV Engineer — with demonstrated hands-on involvement in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of ELV and security systems on construction or fit-out projects in the UAE or GCC market
- Strong, practical technical knowledge of ELV and security systems — specifically including CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, intercom, structured cabling, public address, SMATV, IPTV, gate barriers, and time attendance systems
- Proven experience in managing clients, contractors, technicians, and project sites — demonstrating the organisational and leadership skills needed to keep complex multi-system ELV projects on track and on quality
Technical Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills specific to ELV and low-current security systems — able to diagnose system faults methodically and implement reliable, lasting solutions in a live site environment
- Ability to confidently read technical drawings, wiring schematics, BOQs, and project specifications — extracting the installation and coordination information needed to manage site works and verify contractor performance
- Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills in English — able to write clear site reports, present technical information to clients, and maintain productive working relationships with consultants and contractors
- UAE experience is preferred — familiarity with UAE authority requirements, local site practices, and the UAE ELV/security systems market is a significant advantage for this role
- A valid UAE driving licence will be a strong practical advantage — enabling the engineer to travel independently between project sites across Dubai and the wider UAE
