Position Overview
This Laboratory Technologist role at M42’s Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) platform in Abu Dhabi is responsible for performing laboratory activities including sample reception and management, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry testing. You will ensure accurate and timely analysis of samples in accordance with approved SOPs and quality standards, maintain laboratory records, support ISO/IEC 17025 quality and accreditation requirements, operate and calibrate laboratory instruments, and collaborate with laboratory teams to support efficient operations and timely delivery of results.

Key Responsibilities
Sample Reception & Chain-of-Custody Management
- Receive, log, track, store, and manage laboratory samples while maintaining full chain of custody and traceability
- Ensure all sample handling meets approved SOPs, quality standards, and accreditation requirements
Chemical Analysis & Laboratory Testing
- Perform sample preparation, extraction, testing, and organic and inorganic chemical analyses in accordance with SOPs and quality standards
- Prepare reagents, standards, controls, and laboratory consumables and monitor inventory levels
- Adhere to laboratory health, safety, environmental, and waste management requirements throughout all testing activities
Data Management & LIMS
- Accurately record, review, and manage laboratory data and documentation using LIMS and other laboratory information systems
- Maintain complete and audit-ready laboratory records in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
Instrument Operation, Calibration & Maintenance
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibration records are kept current
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Support compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, quality assurance programmes, audits, and proficiency testing
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory operations
- Collaborate with laboratory teams to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of analytical results
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred
Experience Requirements
- 1–3 years of laboratory experience in chemical analysis, sample preparation, and testing
- Familiarity with LIMS and ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory environments
- Knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry, laboratory quality systems, and analytical techniques
