Position Overview
This Emirati Power BI Engineer role at Birbal AI in Abu Dhabi is a full-time, on-site position focused on data modeling, building and optimizing Power BI datasets, implementing ETL processes, and integrating data from multiple systems and warehouses. You will validate data quality, optimize the performance of reports and dashboards, ensure secure and compliant handling of sensitive information, support users, document solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement of BI and analytics practices across Birbal AI projects.

Key Responsibilities
Dashboard & Report Development
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports
- Provide clear, actionable insights for government and enterprise stakeholders
- Build intuitive, interactive Power BI visualizations meeting stakeholder requirements
- Translate business and government requirements into robust BI solutions
Data Modeling & ETL
- Perform data modeling, including star/snowflake schema design
- Build and optimize Power BI datasets for performance and scalability
- Implement ETL processes, including data integration, cleansing, and automation
- Integrate data from multiple systems and warehouses across the organization
Data Quality & Performance Optimization
- Validate data quality across reports and dashboards
- Optimize performance of Power BI reports and dashboards
- Apply data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and data marts
- Follow best practices for enterprise reporting and analytics
Security, Support & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure secure, compliant handling of sensitive government and enterprise data
- Implement row-level security within Power BI solutions
- Support users and document BI solutions clearly for future reference
- Contribute to continuous improvement of BI and analytics practices
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
Essential Skills
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets and identify trends
- Solid data modeling skills, including star/snowflake schema design
- Ability to design and develop intuitive, interactive Power BI dashboards
- Experience with ETL processes, including data integration and cleansing
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
Technical Skills (HIGHLY BENEFICIAL)
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and row-level security
- Experience with SQL databases and cloud data platforms such as Azure
