Position Overview
As a Light Vehicle Driver at Al-Futtaim Logistics, you are responsible for driving light vehicles and trucks to transport goods across various AFL locations in the UAE. Your main responsibilities include maintaining a damage-free record, adhering to company quality standards, and ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Why This Role Matters: As Light Vehicle Driver, you drive light vehicles and trucks up to 3.0t at all AFL locations, including tasks such as port clearance, picking, binning, and scanning, maintain a 100% damage-free record and timely report all accidents or incidents to supervisors, accurately maintain vehicle log books in accordance with company requirements, adhere to company Quality SOP for driving and handling new vehicles, scan and update bin locations of all units using the RDT device, and perform washing, cleaning, and fueling of new units, updating the fuel date through the SMART Fill System.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Operation & Transport
- Drive light vehicles and trucks up to 3.0t at all AFL locations and throughout the UAE
- Perform port clearance, picking, binning, and scanning tasks
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain a 100% damage-free record and report incidents promptly
- Adhere to company Quality SOP for driving and handling new vehicles
Documentation & Technology
- Accurately maintain vehicle log books in accordance with company requirements
- Scan and update bin locations of all units using the RDT device
Vehicle Maintenance
- Perform washing, cleaning, and fueling of new units
- Update the fuel date through the SMART Fill System
Qualifications & Requirements
Age & Education Requirements
- Matriculation passed, aged 25 years and above
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience driving class 3 vehicles with a category 3 license
- Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
Essential Skills
- Proficient in driving and handling light vehicles up to 3.0t
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain and record accurate logs and reports
- Teamwork and time management skills
