Position Overview

Night Crew Clerks stock, face, and rotate all grocery, dairy, frozen, and bulk products. They unload incoming pallets of nightly deliveries and maintain organization of back stock. When assigned, they place orders for Grocery Department items, working the overnight shift including weekends.

 Why This Role Matters: As Night Crew Clerk, you stock and rotate grocery, dairy, frozen, and bulk products with attention to quantity, quality, and merchandising standards, unload incoming pallets of nightly deliveries and maintain organized back-stock, handle price changes and signage while ensuring department sanitation and safety standards, operate store equipment in accordance with PCC standards and identify products for supplier returns, provide excellent, professional customer service even during overnight hours, and earn a starting wage of $21.55/hour plus a $1.50/hour night differential, with comprehensive union benefits through UFCW 3000.

Key Responsibilities

Stocking & Merchandising

  • Stocks and rotates all grocery, dairy, frozen, and bulk products
  • Stocks and faces grocery displays with attention to quantity, quality, timeliness, and merchandising plan
  • Faces grocery, dairy, and freezer aisles

Deliveries & Back-Stock Management

  • Unloads incoming pallets of grocery, dairy, and frozen products
  • Maintains organization and order of back-stock products

Pricing, Ordering & Returns

  • Handles price change and signage
  • When assigned, places Grocery Department orders
  • Identifies products to be returned to supplier

Sanitation, Safety & Customer Service

  • Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met
  • Operates all equipment in accordance with PCC standards
  • Provides excellent, professional customer service when needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Age & Certification Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Available to work the overnight shift, including weekends
  • Dependable, with excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40 lbs regularly
