Position Overview
Reporting to the Regional Marketing Manager EMEA – Functional Neurosurgery, you will support the marketing, sale and adoption of Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery solutions in close collaboration with Brainlab and partner teams, providing outstanding clinical and technical support and aiming for state-of-the-art clinical workflow implementation. The position is home office based from Dubai, ideally located to support the MENA territory of responsibility.
Why This Role Matters:Â As DBS Consultant, you act as Brainlab’s Functional Neurosurgery Portfolio expert, developing deep scientific knowledge in deep brain stimulation and epilepsy management, lead demonstrations of Brainlab’s Functional Neurosurgery software and platform portfolio to physicians and hospital teams, provide on-site consulting and problem-solving support to physicians and OR personnel before and during surgery, educate and train physicians, OR staff, Radiology, Biomedical, and IT staff on Brainlab products and services, build clinical relationships across the MENA region while identifying and driving clinical marketing initiatives, and support the launch of Image Guided DBS while working closely with Area Account Managers on regional strategy.
 Key Responsibilities
Clinical Expertise & Demonstrations
- Act as Brainlab Functional Neurosurgery Portfolio expert, developing deep scientific knowledge in DBS and epilepsy management
- Lead demonstrations of Brainlab Functional Neurosurgery software and platform portfolio
On-Site Surgical Support & Training
- Provide on-site consulting, guidance, and assistance to physicians and OR personnel before and during surgery
- Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on the use of Brainlab products and services
- Develop and conduct training programs for local teams and hospital staff
Market Strategy & Relationship Building
- Work closely with Brainlab Area Account Managers on local strategy to maximize product penetration
- Build relationships with clinical stakeholders, assessing satisfaction and product usage levels
- Collaborate with partner companies on regional DBS portfolio strategy
Marketing & Market Intelligence
- Identify and conceive clinical marketing initiatives and drive them once approved
- Attend meetings and trade shows to demonstrate and promote Functional Neurosurgery products
- Provide continuous feedback to Product Management on clinical and quality improvements
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- BSc in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering/Clinical Engineering, or an equivalent medical-based degree
- Neuroscience background is a plus
Experience Requirements
- 5 years of experience in medical technology or medical devices
Essential Skills
- Excellent communication skills, including listening to physician/customer needs and managing field dynamics
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills across external customers and partner representatives
- Ability to understand highly technical product solutions and translate their value clearly
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with a proven history of independent decision-making
- Ability to work well in a team environment and individually with minimal supervision
- Fluency in spoken and written English
