Position Overview
The Agronomist at EUROCERT Dubai will play a central and technically important role within the organization’s agricultural certification and inspection operations. You will manage and maintain databases related to the agricultural sector, monitor task execution through EUROCERT’s electronic platform, conduct field audits and inspections of producer groups and agricultural product packaging and handling units across the UAE and MENA region, and verify the completeness and regulatory compliance of all agricultural product files. This is a structured, independently managed role that combines agronomy expertise with GlobalGAP certification knowledge and strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Agricultural Database & Platform Management
- Manage and maintain accurate, up-to-date databases related to the agricultural sector, covering producer records, certification files, compliance history, and inspection documentation
- Monitor the correct execution of all certification tasks and operational workflows through EUROCERT’s electronic platform, ensuring processes are completed accurately and on schedule
- Check the completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of all agricultural product files submitted by producers, handlers, and certification applicants
- Generate reports, data extracts, and platform outputs to support audit preparation, compliance tracking, certification decisions, and management reporting requirements
Field Audits & Agricultural Inspections
- Conduct comprehensive on-site audits and inspections of producer groups across the UAE and MENA region to verify full compliance with GlobalGAP certification requirements
- Inspect agricultural product packaging and handling units to ensure strict adherence to GlobalGAP standards, food safety guidelines, and agricultural product handling regulations
- Evaluate producer practices against GlobalGAP control points, identify non-conformances, and provide clear documentation and corrective action recommendations for follow-up
- Travel to farms, packhouses, and agricultural handling facilities across the UAE and neighboring markets as required by audit cycles and EUROCERT’s certification schedules
Compliance Monitoring & Professional Reporting
- Ensure comprehensive understanding and consistent application of agricultural product regulations, GlobalGAP handling guidelines, and UAE food safety and agricultural compliance requirements
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and professionally written audit reports documenting all findings, non-conformances, and recommendations clearly for producers and EUROCERT management
- Communicate audit outcomes, compliance status, and certification decisions clearly and professionally to producers, producer groups, and relevant internal EUROCERT stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement in producer compliance levels through follow-up monitoring, technical guidance, and ongoing advisory support as required by certification programs
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a closely related field from a recognized university or accredited institution
- Formal GlobalGAP training courses and certification qualifications are required — candidates must have completed recognized GlobalGAP training programs
- HACCP knowledge, qualification, or training is a preferred addition that will significantly strengthen any candidate’s application profile
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of practical working experience in the agriculture sector — field agronomy, crop production, agricultural auditing, or quality systems experience preferred
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working with GlobalGAP quality systems, including knowledge of GlobalGAP control points, audit checklists, and the full certification process
- Experience conducting field inspections, producer group audits, or agricultural compliance assessments in the UAE, GCC, or MENA region is a strong and valued advantage
Visa & Work Authorization
- No visa sponsorship is available for this position — all candidates must independently hold valid UAE work authorization at the time of application
- Candidates currently based in Dubai or the UAE are preferred for immediate operational deployment across EUROCERT’s UAE certification activities
