Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Client Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a broad range of data science projects and consulting engagements carrying significant business and technical complexity for Stellar’s client portfolio
- Act as the primary translator between business and technical requirements — shaping project scope, defining customization needs, and packaging analytical outcomes so they land clearly and compellingly with business executives
- Represent Stellar Technologies in client read-outs and presentations — presenting data science results directly to senior client stakeholders with confidence, clarity, and business acumen
- Manage project handovers to clients and maintain accountability for their ongoing success with the analytical solutions and insights delivered
Custom Analytics, Python & SQL Modelling
- Build custom analytical approaches for insights that fall outside Stellar’s standard data pipelines — writing production-quality code in Python and SQL to solve unique, high-value business problems
- Continuously evaluate and improve model performance, classification accuracy, and clustering quality — correcting for content bias and ensuring outputs meet Stellar’s high quality bar before client delivery
- Apply supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods using core Python data science packages including pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, and related libraries
- Develop and implement NLP pipelines using spaCy and transformer/LLM-based frameworks — extracting structured insights from unstructured text data across client datasets
Quality Control & Data Pipeline Ownership
- Own quality control across both standard Stellar data pipelines and custom-built analytical approaches — reviewing all outputs from both a business logic and technical accuracy perspective
- Oversee data quality from lineage and sourcing through transformation, modelling, and final insight generation — iterating consistently until the outcome genuinely meets client needs
- Follow Stellar’s information security policies, ISO certification standards, and ISMS commitments within the full scope of this role
Executive Reporting & Power BI Dashboards
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that communicate data insights in business language — not technical jargon
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that give clients intuitive, real-time visibility into the analytical insights and value creation metrics that matter most to their business
- Ensure all client-facing outputs — presentations, dashboards, and reports — consistently reflect Stellar’s high standards of quality, clarity, and analytical rigor
Proposal Support & Product Roadmap Contribution
- Support the Stellar Executive Team and Sales function in building tailored proposals for engagements that require a custom analytical approach — aligning resourcing and delivery team capacity accordingly
- Support the Value Creation Insights Product Lead on broader solution development work alongside day-to-day client delivery and project management responsibilities
- Proactively identify and champion process and product improvements — building the evidence-based case for their inclusion in Stellar’s product and solutions roadmap
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or Engineering — with at least one year of business curriculum and one year of data, analytics, or statistics curriculum
- A strong academic foundation in quantitative methods, statistical modelling, and applied data science is essential for success in this role
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience, ideally within strategy consulting, spanning a broad range of project types — with at least one year specifically in Growth, Strategy, or Marketing analytics
- Demonstrated track record of building robust, production-ready analytics solutions — not just prototypes or academic models — that deliver measurable business impact for real clients
- Due diligence experience in a deal or transaction context is a valued advantage for this position
Technical Skills
