Position Overview

As a Financial Planning Analyst at Bridgestone Dubai, you will sit at the intersection of finance, strategy, and business partnership across the Middle East and Africa region. Your work will encompass consolidating and interpreting financial results for management, leading budget preparation and rolling forecast processes, reporting on variances from established plans, and supporting senior leadership with actionable financial insights. Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis Operations

  • Consolidate and interpret the company’s financial results, presenting findings to management with clear recommendations for improvement
  • Report to management on variances from the established budget, providing thorough analysis of the underlying reasons for those variances
  • Manage the end-to-end preparation of the company’s annual budget and rolling forecast cycles with accuracy and discipline
  • Develop and maintain financial models that support robust analysis of performance trends, cost drivers, and revenue opportunities

Finance & Business Partnership

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and regional finance teams to support operational decision-making at the area manager and department head level
  • Engage in benchmarking studies to identify areas of potential operational improvement and competitive positioning within the Middle East and Africa region
  • Review company bottlenecks and recommend targeted changes to improve the overall level of company throughput and operational efficiency
  • Support product pricing decisions and conduct value chain analysis to ensure competitive and profitable pricing across the regional portfolio

Cost Efficiency & Operational Improvement

  • Engage proactively in ongoing cost efficiency initiatives across all areas of the business to optimize the company’s cost base
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, reduce waste, and improve the accuracy and speed of financial reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of financial accountability and cost consciousness throughout operations
  • Provide analytical support for investment decisions, capital allocation reviews, and operational improvement projects across the AME region

Strategic Guidance & Business Case Leadership

  • Assist management in the formulation of the overall strategic direction by providing high-quality financial analysis and scenario modelling
  • Lead the development of comprehensive business cases for strategic initiatives, ensuring robust financial justification and clear ROI projections
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decisions at leadership and executive level
  • Support Bridgestone’s regional growth strategy with forward-looking financial planning and dynamic, data-driven forecasting models

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field — essential for this FP&A analyst role
  • MBA or MSc in Finance, Accounting, or Business is a strong plus and will be given preference during the selection process

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of financial planning and analysis experience, with a track record of delivering insights that drive business decisions
  • Experience working in Middle East markets is specifically required — familiarity with regional business dynamics, regulatory environments, and commercial practices
  • Proven ability to manage budget cycles, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and management reporting in a corporate finance function

Technical Skills

  • Strong financial analysis and forecasting capabilities with the ability to model complex business scenarios accurately and efficiently
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel — including financial modelling, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, particularly Power BI, for reporting and visualization of financial performance data
