Position Overview

The Food Lab Chemist at ACTS International in Riyadh is a full-time, experienced laboratory role responsible for conducting analytical testing across food laboratory and environmental laboratory disciplines — applying at least 6 years of hands-on professional laboratory experience to deliver accurate, reliable and compliant test results for food safety, quality and environmental monitoring purposes in Saudi Arabia. This chemist applies established analytical chemistry methods, operates and maintains laboratory instrumentation, prepares samples and reagents, records and interprets test data, and produces professional technical reports — contributing directly to the food safety, environmental compliance and analytical quality standards that ACTS International delivers for its clients across Riyadh and the broader Saudi Arabia market.

 Key Responsibilities

Food Laboratory Testing & Analysis

• Perform comprehensive food laboratory testing across a range of food chemistry and food safety parameters — applying established analytical methods and standard operating procedures to deliver accurate, reliable and reproducible results for clients across Riyadh and the Saudi Arabia market.
• Conduct chemical, physical and compositional analysis of food raw materials, ingredients, in-process samples and finished food products — ensuring all results are scientifically sound and appropriately documented for regulatory and client reporting purposes.
• Apply food safety analytical testing knowledge — including testing for contaminants, additives, nutritional composition, adulterants and other food safety relevant parameters — in compliance with applicable Saudi Arabia (SFDA) and international food safety standards.
• Prepare samples, standards, reagents and analytical solutions required for food laboratory testing — ensuring all materials are correctly prepared, quality-checked and available to support continuous, uninterrupted laboratory operations.

Environmental Laboratory Analysis

• Conduct environmental laboratory analysis across water, soil, air and other environmental sample types — applying established environmental analytical methods and regulatory standards applicable to Saudi Arabia’s environmental compliance requirements.
• Perform environmental monitoring analyses that support industrial, municipal and regulatory compliance testing programs — providing accurate data to clients and regulatory stakeholders on environmental quality indicators and compliance status.
• Apply 6+ years of environmental laboratory experience to ensure analytical accuracy, method adherence and result reliability across all environmental testing activities conducted at ACTS International’s Riyadh laboratory.

Instrumentation, Documentation & Reporting

• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and analytical equipment used for food and environmental testing — ensuring all instrumentation is correctly calibrated, well-maintained and functioning reliably to deliver accurate analytical results.
• Record all laboratory observations, test data and analytical results accurately and completely — maintaining rigorous, audit-ready laboratory records in compliance with applicable quality management and regulatory documentation standards.
• Prepare professional technical reports summarizing analytical findings, results interpretation and compliance conclusions — communicating laboratory results clearly and accurately to clients and internal stakeholders in Riyadh and across Saudi Arabia.
• Ensure all laboratory activities comply with applicable quality, safety and regulatory standards — maintaining a safe, organized and compliant laboratory working environment at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry or a closely related scientific field — providing the foundational scientific knowledge required for food and environmental laboratory analytical work at this senior experience level.
• Strong academic background in analytical chemistry methods, laboratory instrumentation and food or environmental science is expected from all candidates applying for this experienced Food Lab Chemist role in Riyadh.
