 Position Overview
As General Operator with Nalco Water, you provide daily water analysis and services to execute agreed-upon customer system assurance and continuous improvement plans. You monitor and manage chemical inventories, oversee chemical dosing systems, support reverse osmosis treatment programs, and assist the Site Engineer in resolving customer challenges while building a culture of partnership based on win-win outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship & Site Support
- Support the Site Engineer/Supervisor in maintaining relationships at site/operational level
- Meet with relevant customer stakeholders daily to develop relationships and keep abreast of needs
Water Analysis & Chemical Management
- Provide daily water analysis and services to execute customer system assurance and continuous improvement plans
- Communicate daily analysis results and highlight or address non-conformances in a timely manner
- Monitor and manage chemical inventories onsite and supervise site assistants for placement and re-batching of chemicals
Dosing Systems & Corrosion Monitoring
- Monitor chemical dosing systems to ensure dosages meet target, troubleshooting issues and escalating when necessary
- Manage monthly coupon extractions and replacements for corrosion monitoring
Treatment Program Support
- Assist the Site Engineer with plant surveys of respective water systems
- Conduct start-ups of Nalco treatment applications after outages or downtime
- Support Site Engineer to ensure treatment program performance stays within limits
Problem Solving & Safety Compliance
- Provide technical support to the Site Engineer to identify and resolve customer challenges, escalating as required
- Support problem solving through system analysis, data interpretation, and recommendations
- Support and commit to Nalco’s Safety and Quality Process with mandated PPE for all activities
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Technical degree in Science or Engineering preferred
Experience Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in water treatment, especially Reverse Osmosis systems, is a major plus

- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proactive, disciplined, and forward-thinking approach
- Autonomous self-starter with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in English
