Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation
- Safely operate steam presses, ironing machines, and finishing equipment, ensuring optimal performance
- Apply the correct temperature, pressure, and pressing method for various materials, from delicate silks to heavy cottons
Quality Inspection
- Inspect items before and after pressing to identify stains, damage, or imperfections
- Ensure only top-quality items are delivered to guests
Safety & Hygiene Standards
- Follow all safety protocols and hygiene standards to maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Laundry team to maintain smooth operations
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a 5-star luxury hotel in the same role
Essential Skills
- Full understanding of different textiles and their proper care
- Knowledge of various pressing instructions and advanced pressing techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English
- A positive and friendly attitude towards guests and fellow employees
