Position Overview
Applied Technology and Management (ATM), a Geosyntec Company, is looking for Geotechnical Inspectors with at least 6 years of experience to join the project site management team in Abu Dhabi. This role applies quality management and site supervision skills to projects involving waterfront and coastal structures, monitoring activities on job sites to ensure compliance with contract documents, technical specifications, and CQA plans.

Key Responsibilities
Site Monitoring & Compliance
- Monitor activities on job sites to ensure compliance with relevant contract documents, including technical specifications, construction drawings, sampling plans, and CQA plans
- Provide periodic monitoring of active construction sites
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily field reports, weekly field reports, and progress reports
- Ensure project documentation is correct and consistent with company policy and procedures
Team Coordination & Communication
- Interact with project personnel, including contractors, project managers, engineers, and clients
- Assist in cultivating an integrated team approach through open communication and participation in work progress meetings
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Observe and abide by site-specific project health and safety plans and company EHS management policies
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of applicable experience, or
- Diploma or equivalent from a two-year college with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering with 2 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
Essential Skills
- Technical understanding of site investigation, construction quality assurance, and/or construction management procedures for marine, geotechnical, and coastal projects
- Ability to monitor several different types of construction activities simultaneously
- Experience with Windows-based software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Excellent writing skills and detail orientation
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 kg unaided and 21-45 kg with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required
- Strong willingness to work outdoors with interest in building a career in engineering consulting
- United Arab Emirates driver’s license
