Position Overview
The HR Generalist at BSI Dubai is a people-focused, end-to-end HR role within BSI’s global People team. You will act as the key HR contact for employees and managers across assigned countries, managing the full employee lifecycle from onboarding and payroll coordination through to employee relations, benefits administration, and offboarding. Working within BSI’s global matrix organization, this role balances local UAE employment requirements with global processes and policies — while providing day-to-day guidance and support to local HR Administrators and contributing to regional and global HR improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
End-to-End HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Act as the key HR contact for employees and managers across assigned countries within BSI’s global matrix organization
- Manage end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, contractual changes, benefits administration, leave management, and offboarding
- Maintain accurate employee records and country-specific HR documentation within BSI’s HR management systems
- Support managers with routine people processes and HR best practice guidance across their teams
Payroll Coordination & Benefits Administration
- Coordinate payroll inputs and actively support monthly payroll activities to ensure accurate and timely employee payments
- Manage benefits administration processes ensuring employees receive the right entitlements in line with local and global policies
- Maintain awareness of local UAE employment legislation and ensure HR operations comply with UAE labor laws and BSI internal policies
- Provide first-line guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee lifecycle matters
Employee Relations & Compliance Support
- Support employee relations activity, triaging and escalating more complex matters to the appropriate HR specialists where needed
- Maintain current awareness of local employment legislation across assigned countries to support ongoing legal compliance
- Build strong relationships across BSI’s global People team and wider business to ensure a seamless and consistent employee experience
- Handle sensitive HR matters with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality at all times
Global HR Initiatives & Process Improvement
- Support implementation of regional and global HR initiatives including leadership development programs, systems changes, and performance processes
- Support HR projects and contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and ways of working across the region
- Provide day-to-day guidance and operational support to local HR Administrators to ensure effective delivery of HR services
- Contribute to HR transformation efforts by identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting their implementation
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Emirati or Qatari national — local citizenship and unrestricted right to work in the UAE or Qatar is mandatory for this role
- 5+ years of HR experience within a generalist or operational HR role in a professional business environment
- Strong understanding of employment law, HR policies, and people processes applicable to the UAE and GCC region
- Experience working within a global or matrixed organization with multi-country HR responsibility
- Hands-on experience using HR / HCM systems for employee data management, reporting, and lifecycle processing
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with excellent organizational ability and sound judgement
- Business English proficiency plus local language proficiency relevant to assigned countries
Highly Desirable
- HR-related qualification or professional certification (CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent) is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting HR operations across multiple countries or regions simultaneously
- Experience supporting employee relations activity or working closely with dedicated ER specialist teams
- Proven contribution to HR transformation initiatives or process improvement programs within a global HR function
