Position Overview
As Inventory Control / Logistics Officer at this Abu Dhabi manufacturing industrial facility, you will have end-to-end responsibility for inventory management, warehouse operations, inbound and outbound logistics, import coordination, and cross-functional supply chain support. You will maintain accurate stock records in the ERP system (Odoo preferred), conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks, coordinate with freight forwarders and clearing agents for imports, and ensure finished goods are dispatched on time to customers. A highly desirable aspect of this role is the opportunity to design and build the warehouse from scratch — including layout design, racking, bin systems, location coding, process definition, and documentation — making this a genuinely exceptional opportunity for a warehouse and logistics professional in Abu Dhabi.
 Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Manage daily inventory of raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and finished goods — maintaining accurate, real-time stock records in the ERP system (Odoo) and manual systems as required.
- Monitor stock levels and raise replenishment requests in a timely manner — tracking fast-moving, slow-moving, and critical items to prevent shortages and production stoppages.
- Carry out cycle counts and physical inventory checks — investigating discrepancies, damages, and losses, and implementing corrective actions to maintain perpetual inventory accuracy.
Warehouse Operations
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and organisation of all materials across the warehouse — maintaining a clean, safe, and efficiently organised environment that meets safety and compliance standards.
- Maintain warehouse standards for safety and compliance — adhering to UAE industrial safety regulations, material handling best practices, and any regulatory requirements specific to dental or medical device manufacturing environments.
Logistics & Import Coordination
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials — verifying delivery accuracy against purchase orders, flagging discrepancies, and ensuring all inbound documentation is complete and correctly filed.
- Coordinate import shipments and documentation — working with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and customs authorities to ensure smooth, compliant, and timely arrival of imported materials.
- Arrange and oversee local dispatch of finished goods — coordinating outbound logistics to ensure customers receive their orders accurately and on time.
Cross-Functional & Reporting
- Work closely with Procurement, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Finance teams to keep materials available, production uninterrupted, and supply chain operations aligned with business priorities.
- Prepare inventory and logistics performance reports — tracking KPIs, identifying excess stock, shortages, and cost inefficiencies, and presenting improvement recommendations to management.
Warehouse Setup from Scratch — Highly Desirable Responsibility
- Design and build the warehouse layout — including racking systems, bin allocation, and material flow paths optimised for the facility’s production and logistics requirements
- Set up storage and tracking systems — with location coding, barcode/labelling systems, and inventory management tools integrated with the Odoo ERP
- Define processes for receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping — creating warehouse maps, inventory SOPs, and documented procedures for all warehouse activities
- Support the selection of equipment and racking systems — recommending appropriate solutions for the facility’s space, material types, and volume requirements
- Ensure the warehouse setup is safe, efficient, and scalable — designed to support the facility’s growth as production volumes and product range expand
