Position Overview
The Logistics Team Coordinator at the Hammersbach logistics centre combines active participation in daily warehouse operations with the coordination responsibility of guiding the operational team through the GAP (daily team coordination) process. You will manage disruptions, ensure logistical quality standards, train and support new employees, enforce 5S and other defined work standards, communicate via the Lean Board, and coordinate daily with adjacent logistics areas — playing a critical dual role as both operational contributor and team leader in a permanent, fast-moving logistics environment.

- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of all warehouse areas in accordance with 5S and Lean Management standards
- Support adjacent logistics areas through daily coordination to ensure a smooth, uninterrupted flow of goods throughout the centre
Daily Team Coordination
- Lead the daily coordination of the operational team through the structured GAP (Gruppenarbeitsplatz) process
- Communicate all relevant operational information to the team via the Lean Board to ensure full team alignment daily
- Identify disruptions or bottlenecks in warehouse processes promptly and initiate appropriate corrective measures immediately
- Ensure compliance with all defined work processes, standards, and quality requirements across the operational area
Employee Training & Support
- Train, onboard, and actively support new employees joining the logistics team to ensure rapid integration and productivity
- Mentor team members in correct warehouse procedures, safety standards, and Lean Management principles
- Foster a cooperative, reliable, and high-performing team culture through clear communication and consistent leadership
- Act as the first point of contact for team members requiring operational guidance or process clarification during shifts
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
- Ensure logistical quality is maintained at all times across goods receipt, picking, packing, and dispatch operations
- Apply Lean Management and 5S principles consistently to drive continuous process improvement across the warehouse
- Monitor operational process compliance and escalate non-conformities or recurring issues to relevant management promptly

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Completed vocational training in the logistics sector — a qualification as a warehouse logistics specialist (Fachkraft für Lagerlogistik) or comparable is desirable
- Several years of professional experience in a logistics or warehouse environment — required for successful performance in this coordination role
Experience Requirements
- Proven logistics warehouse experience across operations including goods receipt, picking, packing, and dispatch
