Position Overview
This Mechanical Engineer role supports the Senior Cost Analyst in developing product price lists, preparing costing for customized equipment, and assisting the Sales team with pricing needs. You will audit BOMs and routing data, verify Sales orders in ERP, monitor raw material price fluctuations, and support value engineering and value analysis initiatives that keep the company competitive in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities
Pricing & Costing Support
- Assist in developing and auditing product price lists to ensure alignment with catalogues
- Prepare costing and pricing for customized equipment and special options
- Review and update price lists based on design, material, and operational cost changes
- Analyse raw material and component price fluctuations affecting product costing
Value Engineering & Cost Reduction
- Support value engineering and value analysis initiatives across product lines
- Coordinate with Engineering, R&D, Production, and Procurement on cost-reduction projects
- Ensure accurate standard costs for all items maintained within ERP LN
- Identify opportunities to optimize component and material costs
Sales & ERP Coordination
- Verify and approve Sales orders in the ERP system
- Monitor Sales quotations and report pricing discrepancies promptly
- Audit BOMs and routing data to ensure complete and accurate pricing information
- Coordinate with Procurement to update component price books regularly
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation and weekly data backups
- Perform Cost Planner duties when required
- Support forecasting and data analysis using MS Excel and ERP reporting tools
- Execute additional tasks assigned by management as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Prior exposure to costing, pricing, or ERP systems is highly advantageous
Essential Skills
- Strong ERP system knowledge, ideally ERP LN
- Proficient in data analysis, forecasting tools, and MS Excel
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail, self-motivated, and task-oriented
- High computer literacy; English required, Arabic an advantage
