Position Overview
This QA Technician role is responsible for coordinating all quality-related aspects, under the guidance of the SQAM/DQAM: Poultry, within Poultry Operations to assist the Quality team in effectively managing all aspects of quality across the plant. The role draws on strong knowledge of meat processing, animal health, and quality systems to support consistent, compliant, and high-quality poultry production.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Coordination
- Coordinate all quality-related aspects in Poultry Operations under the guidance of the SQAM/DQAM: Poultry
- Assist the Quality team within the plant to effectively manage all aspects of quality
Quality Systems & Standards
- Apply good working knowledge of quality standards, systems, and audits
- Support quality management across meat and poultry processing operations
Operational & Technical Knowledge
- Apply operational knowledge of meat processing and animal health
- Support quality systems and audits at a supervisory level of understanding
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Sciences or a related discipline
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quality role within a Meat Processing Plant (preferably protein)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a Quality role within a Meat Processing Plant
- Experience in a Quality role within a Poultry Processing Plant
- Experience at a supervisory level
Essential Knowledge
- Good working knowledge of Quality standards, systems, and audits
- Good operational knowledge of Meat Processing and Animal Health
- Good operational knowledge of Quality Systems and audits
