Position Overview
The Quality Lead role supports and maintains the site’s Quality Assurance, Food Safety, and Technical standards, ensuring products consistently meet customer, legislative, and company requirements. You will provide technical support to Production, Intake, suppliers, and growers, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the QMS, quality KPIs, audits, non-conformances, and customer requirements are effectively managed, while promoting a strong food safety and quality culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities
Food Safety & Compliance
- Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and compliance
- Complete quality checks, audits, sampling, and verification
- Promote a strong food safety and quality culture across the site
- Support NPD, testing, and validation of new products
QMS Management & Continuous Improvement
- Manage and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Drive continuous improvement and achieve Quality KPIs
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances
- Reduce waste and downtime through effective quality management
Supplier & Team Leadership
- Manage supplier, grower, and raw material quality
- Lead and support QA and Intake teams, including training
- Work collaboratively across teams and the supply chain
- Resolve quality issues and complaints in coordination with relevant departments
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Qualification in Food Science, Technical, or Quality-related discipline, or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the food industry
- Experience working within a team environment, in a production, technical, or quality role
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and maintain attention to detail
Desirable Criteria
- Additional training or certifications in food safety or quality systems
- Experience working in an FMCG environment
- Experience using technical or quality systems/databases
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify improvements
